Cask & Crew Bacon Fat Washed Whiskey


  • Bottle (750ml) Cask & Crew Walnut Toffee Whiskey
  • 2 oz bacon fat (hickory smoked bacon preferred). Save cooked bacon for garnish, or just eat it!
  • Quart size container – a mason jar works best. The container should have a wide opening.


  1. Add warm (not hot) bacon fat to quart container.
  2. Pour bottle of Cask & Crew Whiskey over bacon fat. Do not stir or shake!
  3. Let rest at room temp for 4 hours or overnight. Continue to eat cooked bacon 😊
  4. After resting period, freeze for 2 hours.
  5. Remove fat ‘disc’ and fine strain thru coffee filter.

Cask & Bacon Washed Cocktail

In mixing glass (no ice):

  • 2 oz Cask & Crew bacon fat washed whiskey
  • 4 dashes orange bitters

Stir, then add ice, stir again. Garnish with orange slice sprinkled with sea salt or slice of bacon
